A 30 min documentary revealing the story of the women who built Waterloo Bridge during the second world war.
This film charts the search to find the women bridge builders but also the story of the 25,000 women who worked in construction at the time. Through oral history the film discovers the contribution these women made while questioning why this history has been omitted from official records.

“My class were absolutely intrigued by the Ladies Bridge film. It sparked off a fantastic discussion about equality and recognition of the work women undertook in World War II. We have asked that the documentary be included as part of the topic next year for a more comprehensive picture of the Home Front.”
